James Martin is a British Trade Unionist, Historian, Economist and Lecturer having previously worked in finance, employment law and now is a lecturer in further and higher education.
As an historian, James believes that ‘understanding the past is crucial to understanding our future’, noting that evidence should guide us but our minds should be open to ideas.
James has studied a wide range of fields including Industrial Relations, Equalities, History & Politics, OSH, Astronomy and has recently completed a D.Ed to further his role as a Lecturer. James has taught for a number of academic instutions ranging from Ruskin, Oxford to Northern College.
James has been a member and investigator of the Worsley Paranormal Group since its founding in 2003. He has made numerous appearances on Radio and Television and is now a regular on Nightvision Radio.
He has described himself as a ‘history geek’ and a ‘space nerd’ and has dedicated a large portion of his more recent life in to research in to the Knights Templar, The Roman Empire and the Western Traditions of Spirituality. The motto that guides his research is G.O.Y.A – Get Off Your Ass, which is why you are more likely to find him out in the field.
René Barnett is a veteran reality television producer specializing in entertainment specials, series, documentaries, and reality-based programming.
René has produced hundreds of television hours, her credits including programming for most U.S. networks and many cable channels in America and the U.K. Her directing credits include some of the premier specials and series of the reality television genre, including Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, Unmasked: Exposing the Secrets of Deception, Strange Universe, Places of Mystery, Guinness Book of Records Primetime, Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura and many others.
René’s professional background spans other media as well. As a print journalist and radio producer/personality, Barnett was managing UFO Magazine editor, an internationally circulated periodical, from the early to mid-nineties. She joined UFO Research Director Don Ecker and Star Trek: Next Generation’s Dwight Schultz for five years on the popular radio show UFO’s Tonight!
In 2001, Barnett joined forces with award-winning British documentary director Bruce Burgess to form Bluebook Films, producing investigative documentary specials for U.S. and U.K. networks, some of which have aired worldwide.
In 2005, 1244 Films was established to produce René’s first theatrical film, Bloodline, a documentary investigation into the marriage of Jesus and Mary Magdalene, the secret society known as the Priory of Sion and the so-called Rennes-le-Chateau mysteries. The film premiered in the spring of 2008 to sold-out theaters and critical acclaim.
Returning to her radio roots, 13 years ago, René established and launched NightVision Radio, a weekly talk show covering conspiracies, hidden history, and the paranormal and, from 2007 to 2013, also hosted Dancing With Ghosts with renowned psychic medium Rebecca Fearing.
Currently, René works with her longtime television colleagues at Dark Zone Productions, most recently producing the first-of-its-kind worldwide live streaming event The House from the real haunted house portrayed in the movie “The Conjuring.”
